Confessions of a Beauty Blogger Tag

Hey guys! So this is a new tag I have been so excited to do! So here's how it works:

Answer the 10 questions listed below.
Come up with 5 confessions of your own.
Tag up to 10 other bloggers (be sure to leave a comment on their blog so they know to do it!).
And most of all, HAVE FUN! Here we go!

1. What's more important: washing your hair or your face?
Hair! My face doesn't break out too easily but my hair gets really greasy.
2. How often do you clean your makeup brushes?
Less often than I should....
3. If you could keep only one high end makeup product, what would it be?
Urban Decay Primer Potion! This was my first "high end makeup item" I got when I was 10 from my mom.
4. Mascara or lip color? Choose ONE!
uummm....um..um..um....ahh! They are both so amazing! Probably lip color! Eye liner can be used to give the illusion of long lashes but without lipstick, my makeup is bland.
5. What brand is the majority of your makeup?
E.l.f. Don't judge! For a buck, this stuff is insane!
6. You just won a contest and will receive a $500 gift card to Forever 21 or Sephora. Which would you accept?
F21 any day! I have *enough* makeup (I always want more) but you can never have enough clothes! Anyways, who needs $500 worth of makeup?
7. Who's your favorite beauty guru/beauty blogger? Why?
Right now, Macbarbie07 or Stilababe09. They are both so sweet and outgoing and I just love them!(:
8. Eyebrows or Eyelashes? Choose ONE!
Eyebrows. Eyeliner on your waterline can give the look of eyelashes. I need my brows!
9. Best drugstore for makeup?
Walgreens. CVS is WWAAYY overpriced!!
10. Are you a natural or exotic makeup girl?
Natural.

Confession Time!
1. I hardly ever take my makeup off. Yup. Sad. But I don't break out (I have no idea why) so I never even think about it!
2. If you read my other tag, you would already know this. I am way too influenced by what my beauty gurus say! If they love a product, then I must also! Right...?!
3. I never really "change up my look." I wear the same makeup and hairdo almost everyday of summer, then a different look for winter. And that's that.
4. I only wear makeup to school. On the weekends, I'll do it for fun but I don't make a special effort to put it on.
5. I have a hard time deciding favorites! One day I'll love my Revlon Lip Butter and the next will be my Just Bitten Lip Stain!

Now, I tag these fellow bloggers!
Fashions On Top
Gumboot Glam
Fashion & a cup of Tea
Timeless Look

I hope you guys enjoyed this tag!! Even if I didn't tag you,  do this tag and let me know you did it down in the comments! Thanks so much!

Get Organized!

Hey guys! Here's a super cute organization idea! I was sick of all my hair stuff in bins in my dresser so I got creative and did this:

I think I paid about five buckaroos for this clear, over the door, shoe organizer. Yes. I said SHOE organizer.
But who cares what it's meant for?! It serves the purpose! I have all my brushes and whatnot towards the top, headbands, bows, clips, and hair ties in the middle section, and extra makeup at the bottom.
Ta da! Leave a comment below and tell me what you think!

Summer Favorites

My first fave this season are the Anthropologie inspired headbands. Of course you want to keep your hair up and out of your face and these headbands are amazing for that! They don't slip out and look super cute! You can get a two pack at Target for $2.50!
My next favorite isn't necessarily one thing but a line of things. And that's Bath and Body Works' fragrances! They last hours and are super subtle. If you read my last post (shame on you if you didn't! Just kidding, I still love you!), you would know I am OBSESSED with Sweet Pea! So of course, that's the scent I got.
Now onto makeup! As far as lip care, I am in love with Nivea! I'm sorry, but I am over the Eos fad...maybe. Anyway! These lip balms are perfect size for your pocket and leave a beautiful color on your lips. This one is in Cherry and is my favorite when it comes to red lips!
The next favorite is my e.l.f. tinted moisturizer with spf! It is amazing and leaves your skin looking soft and natural! I like it more then ANY other tinted moisturizer (including Maybelline's BB cream) and it's only $3!!
My absolute FAVE lotion ever is Olay quench with mica! It leaves your legs so soft for so long! But here's the best part...it gives you vampire legs (Twilight Saga nerd alert!)! Out in the sun, they glisten! It is amazing!!
Wow. I had two mascaras tie for favorite! My Lash Blast Fusion in the darkest black one and NatureLuxe in brown. I love them! Here's a trick to extend lashes! Apply your regular black mascara (my Lash Blast Fusion) and let it dry. Then apply a shade lighter (my NatureLuxe in brown) to the top half of your lashes. This will make them look instantly longer and give your eyes a pop.

Kool-Aid Update

Hey guys, here's a quick update on the dip dye hair. Mine (Ashley's) is still in however it is fading *a little*. I haven't washed it yet because I want the color to last until at least Thursday. Grace did wash hers and some of the color came out. Most of it is still in though and looks really pretty and pastel. Make sure on your first wash you only use water. After that, you can use shampoo. Good Luck! :)

Dip Dyed Summer Hair

Hey guys! Happy Monday! Sorry about the set up of this post...my computer doesn't want to cooporate! :)
So yesterday, Grace and I decided, "Hey, let's dye our hair." So we headed to the store and picked up way too many packs of Kool-Aid. Before you say, "I don't wanna read this," KEEP READING!
So all you need is: paint brushes (optional), a bowl, kool-aid, tin foil, water, and..oh ya! Hair! Also have lots and lots and llloottss of paper towels nearby!
To start, mix a pack of Kool-Aid with water in the bowl. But your hair in pig tails and dip the ends into the mixture. This does get messy so be careful! It stains!
See, I told you it got messy!
After dipping the ends of the pigtails in (Grace did three on each side to get all her layers),wrap them in tinfoil. This lets the color set and prevents it from staining everything you come in contact with. Leave the tinfoil on for at LEAST 30 min. We did 2 hours. When you're ready to take the tinfoil off, leave the hair in pig tails and run the dyed parts under water from the sink for a couple of minutes. It will probably look like all the colors coming out, but trust me, it's not. Then blow dry until it's dry.
I recommend using gloves! This is after washing my hands nearly 200 times with about 50 different types of soap (well, maybe I'm exaggerating a little).

This is how Grace's hair turned out. Her hair already has a little red tone to it, so this just enhanced it.
The ends are really red! I think hers ended up really pretty and subtle. Perfect for summer.
Mine on the other hand, stands out much more! I (obviously) have lighter hair so it shows up better. I have short layers so I used a paintbrush to brush streak higher into my hair. I'm not sure how long this will last but I'll definitely keep you guys updated! Don't forget to comment!
