Striped Sweaters♥

 "The best time to wear a striped sweater is...ANYTIME!," Spongebob Squarepants. Who knew he would be a major fashion icon?! Well he officially is. A HUGE trend this fall (and every fall) is sweaters. But this year, not just any sweater will do! Striped sweaters are the "it" thing.

Style idea: Skinny jeans, black boots, peter pan color necklace, high sock bun

Style idea: Black skinnies, tan BearPaws or black combat boots, curled hair, long statement necklace

Style idea: white skinnies (White after Labor Day?! Yup!), black boots, light white scarf, straight hair

Old School Trend, Present Day Fad

Moccasins: the old fashioned grandfather shoe that has made a major u-turn and is now  the trending footwear of the fall. Every girl has asked, "Mom! What shoes should I wear with this skirt?!" Unless, you know, you have a pair of these virtually universal shoes. From skinny jeans, to a floral skirt, moccasins have practically taken over the fashion industry and are a go to fall essential, even in the coldest weather.

 

Still not loving the trend? Well try this! Until I actually took a good look at her from the side, I thought she just had a pretty fantastic fashion sense. Then I saw it. And like bam! I was in love. This modern twist on the old school moccasins made me realize why girls have such an "unhealthy addiction"  (or as I like to say "a perfectly normal hobby") of collecting shoes. I mean, who wouldn't obsess over such an exquisite pair of wedge moccasins?! That's what I thought.

A rope walks into a gas station and says to the clerk, "sir, can I have a root beer"

The clerk says, "I can't serve root beers to ropes"

So the rope walks out, ties himself into a knot and rubs the top reeallyy hard. He walks back in and asks for a root beer. The clerk says, "weren't you just that rope?" And the rope says, "I'm a frayed knot!" GET IT!?? Hilarious!

Say What?!

What happened? I can't believe it's been almost a month! School started back up and like woah! It was crazy! But I am back. And have TONS of posts coming up :) But I need you guys! Forever 21 BOGO Sale!

Hey guys! I know. Where have I been. Well that's not important right now because it's......BOGO TIME! Right now, on Forever 21's website, almost everything is buy one get one free! I'm not sure if it's an in store offer as well but I'll definitely check it out tomorrow! Bye!

DIY American Flag Shorts

 Happy Fourth guys! So of course it's way too late for you to make these for fireworks tonight, but who cares? Make them, and wear them any where, any day!So here's what you need: Shorts (duh!), red, whit, and blue fabric paint (I used white spray fabric paint, the other two colors were just regular), painters tape, star stickers, and paint brushes.

 Stuff the shorts with napkins and use tape anywhere you don't want paint to be.

 Spray (or paint) the white ALL over the front of the shorts. Make it as vibrant or dull as you prefer (it's all about personal taste). Then (if using the spray fabric paint), use a paintbrush to spread out the color.

 This is how white I made mine.

 Wait until the shorts are COMPLETELY dry, then tape where you want your stripes to be.

 After you have painted the stripes, place the star stickers however you would like them on the other half.

 Cover with blue fabric paint.

 After it is dry, use tweezers or pliers to slowly pull off the stars.

 Uh oh! Well, my stickers were a fail...

 If yours turned out as trashy as mine, use a paintbrush and more white paint to fill in the stars.

 Carefully pull off the tape. Hmmm...my red stripes bled into the white REALLY bad! Now, I took yet another paintbrush and touched it up a bit.

And ta da! They are done! Let them dry, and you now have yourself a new pair of style forward shorts!

Summer Floral Dress

Hey guys! Isn't this outfit to die for?? It's perfect for out by the pool or a dinner. It is sleeveless, we just added a cardigan for a more casual look. The dress is from Target, cardigan from JC Penney, and the flats from Payless.

This necklace went with the dress perfectly!

See! Perfect for a pool party or bathing suit cover up!

Formal Chic

This outfit is definitely more formal then most that we upload.

Both the shirt and skirt are from Kohl's and the flats from Payless. With the shirt untucked, it looks more relaxed. To give it a more glamorous look, tuck the shirt in and add a long necklace.

Spring Style in the Summer

Here's a cute way to drag spring into summer. This shirt is amazing...right?!! But it gets better!

It's an open back! We just put a tank under it but it would be super cute with a bandeau. This shirt is on sale right now at Target for...wait for it....$8.29! So now I also have this shirt in navy blue with purple and white flowers on it. That outfit will be coming soon.

Summer OOTD

Yay! First Outfit Of The Day! Here's a new thing I'll hopefully do more often! This was yesterdays but I didn't have time to upload it. but here ya go! :)

For the outfit itself I got this really cute peachy lace crop top and shorts from Kohl's. I know it's not in the pic but I also had on black converse. I'm not sure where the necklace is from (I got it as a gift) but it's my favorite part of the outfit! (Sorry about the quality. Once again, I used my phone...)

 Here's my hair. I was getting so sick of my straight, lifeless hair. So I went to bed with foam rollers in (ouch!). But in the morning, it ended up being a little uncontrollably crazy. So I just grabbed it all, but it in a really small braid, and bobby pinned the loose layers down.

This is just a view from the side. My bangs were really pretty (and actually curled normal) so I left them down on both sides.

This is just a farther back pic. Nothing special. ;-).
